SEED Future Training of Trainers held in Italy
From 11 to 15 December 2025, the SEED Future project delivered its second Training of Trainers (ToT) in Italy, hosted by Minerva APS in Forlì. This event represented the completion of the WP3 Training of Trainers cycle and built directly on the outcomes of the Spain ToT held in November 2025.
The Italy training brought together the same group of 16 adult educators (4 from each partner organisation in Estonia, Spain, Italy and Bulgaria), ensuring continuity and full coverage of the project’s competence framework.
Focus on Gender Equality and Inclusive Pedagogy
The Italy ToT focused on gender equality and inclusive adult education, completing the three thematic pillars of the SEED Future project:
- gender-responsive pedagogy in adult learning;
- identification and correction of bias and stereotypes in educational materials;
- inclusive facilitation techniques to ensure equal participation and safe learning environments;
- integration of gender equality with digital literacy and environmental sustainability.
Participants engaged in interactive workshops, group exercises and micro-teaching sessions, where they redesigned learning activities using the SEED Future Toolkit and tested inclusive facilitation approaches in practice.
Completing the Training of Trainers Pathway
Together with the Spain ToT, the Italy training completed the full Training of Trainers pathway under Work Package 3. By the end of the Italian ToT, participants:
- demonstrated the ability to integrate all four SEED Future Toolkit modules into adult education settings;
- strengthened their confidence in addressing sensitive topics such as gender equality;
- developed concrete action plans to apply the Toolkit within their organisations and communities;
- prepared for their role as multipliers in the upcoming pilot phase.
Looking Ahead to Pilot Implementation
Evaluation and feedback collected during the Italy ToT are currently being analysed and will feed into the final refinement of implementation guidance. From May 2026, the trained educators will begin delivering pilot courses in their respective countries under Work Package 4 – Pilot Implementation and Evaluation.
The Italy Training of Trainers confirms SEED Future’s commitment to promoting inclusive, gender-responsive and high-quality adult education across Europe, supported by practical tools, trained educators and strong transnational cooperation.
