SEED Future pilot course successfully implemented in Spain

From 6 to 10 May 2026, Asociación GO GREEN successfully delivered the Spanish local pilot course of the SEED Future project in Torremolinos, Spain, engaging 20 adult learners in a 5-day learning experience focused on environmental sustainability, digital literacy, and gender equality.

This pilot was implemented as part of Work Package 4 – Pilot Implementation and Evaluation, whose purpose is to test the SEED Future Toolkit in real adult education settings and collect evidence on its relevance, usability, and impact before the final refinement phase. The WP4 plan foresees one local 5-day pilot in each partner country, with up to 20 learners per pilot, followed by immediate feedback collection and analysis.

A practical 5-day learning experience

During the pilot, participants explored the SEED Future Toolkit through interactive sessions, group work, guided discussions, and practical exercises. The programme introduced adult learners to key concepts and real-life applications in the three core project areas:

  • environmental sustainability, including local and everyday actions linked to broader ecological challenges;
  • digital literacy, with a focus on practical and accessible digital competences;
  • gender equality, approached through inclusive reflection and awareness-building.

The pilot also allowed the trained educators from the ToT phase to apply the SEED Future methodology in a real local context, adapting the Toolkit to the needs and backgrounds of adult learners.

Positive feedback from participants

Feedback collected at the end of the pilot course shows a strong level of participant satisfaction and confirms the relevance of the training approach:

  • 17 out of 20 learners declared themselves satisfied or very satisfied with the course overall;
  • 18 out of 20 learners rated the activities as interesting or very interesting;
  • 20 out of 20 learners rated the trainer/facilitator’s support as satisfactory, good, or excellent;
  • 14 out of 20 learners said they felt confident or very confident in applying what they had learned after the course.

The results also show that learners considered the course useful in improving their understanding of environmental sustainability, digital literacy and gender equality, confirming the practical value of the SEED Future curriculum.

Next steps

The feedback from the Spanish pilot will now contribute to the comparative evaluation of all national pilot courses and will support the final refinement of the SEED Future Toolkit later in 2026. Together with the pilots in Estonia, Italy and Bulgaria, this local implementation helps ensure that the final project results are practical, inclusive, and adaptable to different adult education contexts across Europe.
