Description of Activity:
During the official board meeting of the Estonian Adult Education Association – a national coordinating body for folk high schools – a targeted dissemination session was held to present the progress and vision of the SEED Future project (Supporting Environmental Entrepreneurship Development).
Helin Laane introduced the project goals, partnership, and recent outcomes, including the national-level dissemination event that took place in Pärnu on May 5, 2025. The discussion included a demonstration of the project website and digital resources.
Focus and Follow-up Plans:
In alignment with the updated Erasmus+ reporting requirements and partner recommendations, the following enhanced dissemination actions were proposed and supported:
- Organizing an interview video featuring a local environmental educator or green entrepreneur involved in youth projects.
- Hosting a project-themed seminar for municipal officials and school representatives in autumn 2025, focused on sustainability education and youth empowerment.
- Drafting and signing memorandums of cooperation with selected member schools of the Association to integrate SEED materials into real-life adult and youth learning contexts.
- Encouraging local folk high schools to pilot environmental entrepreneurship modules and share feedback with the international consortium.
Impact:
This dissemination activity had a high strategic value. By engaging directly with leaders from major Estonian adult education institutions, the SEED Future project reached decision-makers capable of implementing the project's content in both urban and rural areas across Estonia.
The initiative also positioned SEED Future as a timely and relevant response to growing national priorities related to sustainability, circular economy, and youth entrepreneurship. Participants highlighted that the project complements Estonia’s lifelong learning strategy and provides excellent tools for developing forward-looking, community-based learning opportunities.
The board agreed to continue cooperation and actively monitor SEED developments, offering their institutions as testbeds for future activities.
